tsp ground cardamom
Instructions
1 Make the Blackberry Chai Simple Syrup 2 In a medium sauce pan over medium-low heat, bring two cups of water and 1 cup coconut sugar to a boil. 3 Reduce heat to low and add in ginger syrup, masala chai, cinnamon sticks, and star anise, stirring frequently to ensure sugar melts. 4 Allow masala chai to simmer on low about 3-5 minutes before adding in blackberries. 5 Simmer blackberries another minute while simultaneously mashing with a spoon. 6 Remove from heat and allow to cool at room temp. 7 When the syrup has cooled, pour through a strainer into a large container to ensure no bits of tea, spices or blackberries make their way into the syrup. Once you have strained out all solid bits, using a funnel and a ladle, pour the simple syrup into a mason jar or container with a lid. 8 Store in the fridge up to one week. 9 Make the Blackberry Chai CBD Mocktail - Serves 1 10 First, mix up chai sugar rim mixture by adding coconut sugar, cinnamon and cardamom to a small bowl + mixing with a fork. 11 Lightly wet the rim of a cocktail glass and dip into the chai sugar mixture, rolling from side to side to fully coat the rim of the glass. 12 Add ice then pour 1oz blackberry chai simple syrup into glass and top with 3oz Recess Blackberry Chai CBD Seltzer. 13 Garnish with blackberries if desired.View original recipe
