NO šš¼BAKE šš½DONUT šš¾HOLES ššæOh, and they're grain free too!ā ā How excited are you for this chocolate donut hole recipe?! ā ā Donut holes were always a favorite treat, but the abundance of gluten + refined sugars just don't work for me anymore. I have been making it a point to work with almond flour a little more lately so I can keep experimenting with desserts but not feel as bogged down and bloated from them. When you're recipe testing, you're EATING what you make and if I have too much gluten free flour, sometimes it ain't pretty. I'm spending lots of time in a bathing suit these days and bloating isn't invited to the pool party, so I do what I can to still make all the sweets while keeping them as SIBO and low FODMAP friendly as possible!ā ā Peep the recipe, below ā¬ļøā ā š„£1 1/2 cups almond or paleo flourā š„£2 tbsp melted coconut oil or you can try nut butterā š„£1/4 cup cocoa powderā š„£1/4 cup maple syrupā š„£1 flax egg (1tbsp flaxseeds + 2 tbsp water)ā š„£1 tsp vanilla extractā š„£pinch of sea saltā ā š©Prepare flax egg by mixing flaxseed + water in a small bowl.
