Mix the brownie base first. Add all ingredients (PB or almond butter, 2 scoops chocolate protein powder, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 1/4 cup maple syrup) to a large mixing bowl. Using a fork, mix well until combined. The mixture is going to feel really thick, that’s ok! Using a silicone spatula, press the brownie base down into a parchment lined loaf pan until it is spread evenly across the bottom. Set aside. Mix up the protein frosting next. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together all ingredients (1/3 cup yogurt, 3 tbsp cocoa powder, 2 scoops chocolate protein powder, 1 tsp espresso powder (optional), 2 tbsp almond milk, 1 tsp vanilla) until no clumps remain. Spread the frosting over the brownie base evenly until fully coated. Cover with plastic wrap & allow to set in the fridge for about an hour. Once set, lift the parchment from the loaf pan & slice into squares. For best results, store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4 days.
